Republicans controlled the White House, the Senate, and the House for all of 2017 and 2018. They could have passed whatever immigration legislation they wanted. What did they pass? Tax breaks for billionaires.

I actually 100% agree with these statements (I am a conservative-leaning independent never-Trumper FWIW). But if you admit that this is the fault of both parties, then why are you blaming the Democrats? And why are you crowing about Trump's wall (BTW Trump has spent several billion dollars to build 100 miles of a wall on a 2000 mile border. Most illegal immigrants don't come from illegal border crossings. So he has essentially spent several billion dollars to accomplish nothing toward reducing illegal immigration. This isn't something to brag about or feel pride in.)
