Someone's probably getting a kickback somewhere!
they have tried and dems push back on EVERY EFFORT TO LIMIT IMMIGRATION. zoe, pelosi, schumer, the more guest workers the better for their silicon valley masters.
Republicans controlled the White House, the Senate, and the House for all of 2017 and 2018. They could have passed whatever immigration legislation they wanted. What did they pass? Tax breaks for billionaires. The truth is both parties are essentially refusing to act on this. Why? Because the U.S. economy depends on illegal immigrants. The Wall is security theater.
Agree that it’s both parties at fault because wealthy people in both parties benefit from exploiting illegal immigrants. And, yes, maybe the economy is dependent on illegal immigrants right now, but that needs to change. Encouraging free health care and free college for illegal immigrants is not going to help the situation.
I actually 100% agree with these statements (I am a conservative-leaning independent never-Trumper FWIW). But if you admit that this is the fault of both parties, then why are you blaming the Democrats? And why are you crowing about Trump's wall (BTW Trump has spent several billion dollars to build 100 miles of a wall on a 2000 mile border. Most illegal immigrants don't come from illegal border crossings. So he has essentially spent several billion dollars to accomplish nothing toward reducing illegal immigration. This isn't something to brag about or feel pride in.) https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-administration-announces-completion-100-miles-border-wall/story?id=68200934
