She is in a great spot because she will be one of the oldest on her team so likely bigger and faster. Statistically the kids in the oldest 1/3 of any age banding do better and get more playing time in athletics. My kid was part of the first switch from Aug cut off to birth year. She will adjust and be just fine.[/quote]

Yep, it's almost like that guy just sees a few people agree and thinks ALL agree while reality is MUCH different

"There are age cuttoffs. It isn't strictly grade. Just easier to say grade because that is what it correlates to. But you can always play up a group. Some lower leagues are also letting kids play down on a case by case basis."
