[/quote] Emphatic +1 from this working mom! You can't nurture, shape, stimulate, enrich, educate, love on, etc. a sleeping infant or toddler. WOHMs are with their awake kids less hours in the day than a SAHM is with her awake kids. Maybe it is only like 3-4 less hours numbers-wise at certain stages, but that is actually a large chunk of that kid's waking hours. Think about if your kids' school day was cut by like 2-3 hours...that would make a difference in their education, right, because the school day is only 7 hours to begin with? Now, whether and in what ways it matters that kiddo is with paid care instead of mom???...sure have at it, argue away, I guess. But absent a very unique working schedule, the above is true of course that SAHMs are with their kids more. Just silly... [/quote]
