Maybe I’m too old. I’m 53 - past the stage in my life she’s singing from. Now, existential songs about all facets of mid-life, including romance…sure, lol. Folklore and Evermore really resonated with me. And I seem to need a lush melody to draw me in - without it, I just want to turn it off.

PP here - you know, I’m just remembering that I’m often “meh” about her albums, then find myself listening on repeat. Why is that? I’ll give it another try.

I do think she bearded and had fake PR relationships for years. I honestly thought she was in the closet and covering that up (like everyone thought she was having a secret affair with her best friend, can’t remember her name) but perhaps it was all about Matty Healy. Who knew.[/quote]
