It just doesn't make sense.[/quote] Denial. I think the parents wanted to be able to say they did such a hike on such a hot day. They were hiking every weekend. They liked going to Burning Man. They had a close call on a different hike with altitude but didn’t apparently learn from it. I think they weren’t going to be deterred by the heat because that’s just how they roll.
