So I agree she was 100% responsible , and I am not trying to shift the blame, but I’m curious - why did he have treats? Is this a routine thing that he encounters dogs off leash in the ramble and asking them to be leashed doesn’t work?
Go to any public park and you’ll see irresponsible a$$holes with dogs off leash. It doesn’t matter they there are giant signs that say leash your dog- these entitled jerks abound. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had these dogs snap at my kids or knock them over. Once a giant pitbull knocked me over at Stanton park and the owners didn’t even apologize or leash the dog. Thankfully a cop was there and he left. Dogs don’t like being off leash in a crowded area. It makes them nervous and puts them at risk for being hit by a car, attacked by a person, or other injury. A dog once jumped up on my coworker as she walked through Lincoln Park and gobbled down her chocolate bar. Dogs need to have limits and dog owners need to learn to follow the law. I hope this makes these people think twice before breaking the law.
