I had family members who fought on the southern side in the Civil War and can remember them and my family history without displaying any flag other than the U.S. flag. The Confederate flag, like the former Commanders team name, and plenty of other racist names and symbols, isn't about "history" or "pride," its about the ability for members of the majority group to be openly and continually disrespectful to minorities.
