Bet he doesn't have kids in a school where teachers spend much of their time assisting 50% or more of their kids with English while other kids wait for science, history, and social studies lessons to proceed. Those kids are hardworking, well behaved, and precious; but don't pretend there's no impact on learning. [/quote]

What other country allows this? I'm a nurse who wants a fresh start. Should I pick up and move to Japan? I don't speak much Japanese and my kids none at all but that's the schools problem. After all, they need my labor. Also the school can't celebrate any traditional Japanese festivals anymore because it makes my kids feel left out. Hire more teachers if it's a hassle. My kids are just as important as theirs.[/quote]
