[/quote] You know, if Trump and the Republicans try to push through legislation that you feel is detrimental to the safety, security, and welfare of our nation, then the role of the Democratic elected officials should be to try to stop them. That is what they are elected to do - to represent the people who elected them. That is precisely what the Republicans did, and I would expect nothing less from the Democrats.
