Yes, some people smoke 5 packs a day and never develop lung cancer.  Some people never vaccinate their kids and they don't get sick.  It doesn't mean that these are based on any scientific evidence.  However, the information by ASHA is.

OP, stop being a busy body for 10 seconds and actually read the information by ASHA.  Hopefully, you will understand what a language disorder is and how it differs from a speech delay.  Feel free to come back to ask for any clarifications.

You should also stop deleting posts just b/c you disagree.  BTW, ASHA is the national professional, scientific, and credentialing association for 186000 members and affiliates who are audiologists; speech-language pathologists.[/quote]
