My 7 year old is very into Hocus Pocus this year. AMOK AMOK AMOK!
7!! I think that's way too young for that movie. (Obviously yours is fine with it, but other posters should know this is not a typical 7 yo movie.) Common sense media says 11+.
LMAO common sense media is for ninnies
NP. Common sense media is an excellent resource to get very complete information about a movie, and I like it as a way for parents to make an informed choice for their children, but I agree that the age recommendations seem very conservative as compared to what seems appropriate for my kids. I thought Hocus Pocus was good for most of that age range too. Honestly, if my 4 year old had the patience for movies, I think she might even enjoy it. Disney Channel's Halloweentown movies are a big hit in our house too. My kids age 8+ are also big fans of some of the milder horror films, but I think that's somewhat atypical and wouldn't suggest it for a group including kids who aren't my own since some parents/families would likely object to the content.
