I thought colleges recruit through the clubs and not so much high schools.  I also thought the prospect camps were for high school recruiting and not college recruiting but I am fairly new to lacrosse world and could be mistaken.  I welcome feedback from more experienced parents.[/quote]

The club owners want you to think that colleges recruit solely through the clubs...  That once was true.  But times are changing.  Being a member of a good club team is still important for both exposure and resume value.  But playing for many of the private school programs (think IAC/WCAC/MIAA) carries with it that same resume and door-opening function.

The best players do both.  That is, they play for a top-notch high school in the spring and club the rest of the year.
