The severity of the conditions have definitely been downgraded, and about half our group is going now.  Our destination is Nags Head.  I no longer think it will be dangerous to go, but still wonder about being confined indoors with a 2 year for 3 days, and also just generally feeling blah.

There are other things to do in obx besides hunker down inside. Why can't you walk the beach or play in the sand? 
The wind and rain will push out in the next 24 hrs. It's not going g to be lousy all week.

Would you rather be bored and blah at home being with the 2 yr old or go to obx with dh and friends and let 2 yr old have fun while letting dh ( and others) watch him?[/quote]
