OP, it is totally ridiculous. If high school students have the grades to be accepted, then they've been in this country for years, since they were very young, going to US schools, acting like Americans.

We need to act, not just put it off. We need to either normalize their status (which Obama attempted to do), or deport all of them. If you're in favor of deportation, then you need to start making phone calls, writing letters. Even Trump has realized that deportation is infeasible and a bad idea, sending all of these college bound students out of our country, generating ill will, harming them for actions undertaken by their parents and for actions not undertaken by our government.[/quote]

I went to state school on loans, like most people. My parents didn't pay for my college.

From my jobs working in a large public school system, I know that there are many families who struggle to work to pay for college tuition for their kids. If you're not aware of that fact, I wouldn't know how to prove it to you on an anonymous forum. [/quote]
