I don't want to make for an awkward situation at the office and, on top of that, we're traveling together with our third good friend in a few weeks.

I'm at a loss for what the best thing to do is. My instinct is to start ignoring the texts, as I just can't see a conversation about this turning out well for anyone. But are there other options I'm not thinking of? How do I not ruin a good friendship but get the point across that the daily check-ins are too much? Help random internet strangers! [/quote]
