If you are having severe limitations in your activities of daily living that have long-lasting consequences (quitting your job, feeling like you have permanently affected relationships you care about) you are past the candle & incense phase. Professional help is available and may be very useful. There are medications that are safe during pregnancy. Talk therapy may also be helpful. Lining up good care now is wise because if you struggle during pregnancy or postpartum it's good to have someone skilled and objective who can be looking out for warning signs.
Thanks, PP 18:29 and others, too. This is OP. I contacted my doctor yesterday evening, and he sent me out to get an herbal supplement that has helped me so much already. I cannot even believe it. I was able to grocery shop today, and I just cooked dinner. These were daily activities that I really was struggling with. I am aware that if I fall pregnant this will be something serious to keep an eye on.
