Not the OP, but even if you are generally of the mindset that you're are not going to worry about what "others" think, your husband is a reasonable exception to that rule.  OP's reaction shouldn't be a surprise at all. Her DH wasn't being gently honest or something, he was being dismissive.  Hurtful and rude.  Shame on him.[/quote]
