Actually, Sandy/SLEEP wanted to make the elementary kids go first, but this was roundly rejected as moronic. The compromise was to make middle school kids go first, resulting in kids who need more sleep getting far less than recommended.

Actually, in Loudoun where I live (and in Henrico County in Richmond where I am from) this is how it's done and it's fine. My kids tardy bell rings at 7:50am. They wake at 7:00, bus comes at 7:28. It actually works really well. MS bus comes at 8, HS bus comes at 8:30. Pretty ideal to me.[/quote]
