Not their job to do a transition plan. Anyway... OP is putting to much thought into this. If the situation was reversed and the boss was letting OP go it wouldn't matter if OP was on vacation or not. I've seen two people get let go while on vacation. One of them the boss called them on their cell phone and the guy answered while he was driving. The boss said you were part of the RIF today... it shocked the guy so much that he had a car crash. Takeaway: don't worry about the boss or the company do for yourself.[/quote]
