Why is the cell phone alarm not working? What about an alarm on his watch? My DC takes ADHD meds with breakfast. He is 11 and often needs to be reminded. If I were in your shoes, I would perhaps ask him to tape a large paper on his bed, or the back of his door, which says: "take your meds at 9am!!!". No system is fail-proof, unfortunately. Is he there with a sibling who can help remind him?
Turns alarm off. Gets distracted or rushed and never takes it. No sibs. The adults in the house are themselves not regularly compliant with their prescriptions. Their attitude is largely that if you feel ok, don't take it. If you start to feel not-okay, go ahead and take it. Except these particular medications don't work that way. A note taped to the bedroom door might work at some point in the day, but the doctor says take it at the same time everyday.
