Based on what - I have applied visa to many countries. But let us start with Visa application. Are you saying the Visa denial based on country of citizenship? In that case answer me about Muslim citizens of our ally countries. Do we deny them too?[/quote]

I'm not experienced in banning a religion from the U.S. But I have seen us give special immigration status to particular religious groups. Take, for example, when we granted I think it was TPS to all Syrian Jews about 10 years ago. So, maybe generally all consulates in said countries generally deny all applications for visitor and family based visas unless you are a TPS applicant?

But I am not sure how that would work for employment based visas where labor certification with DOL is involved. And I am not an immigration lawyer, and most importantly I am not saying I am for a Muslim ban or anything.  [/quote]

See that is where my problem with Trump's statement to address the issue. Yes, many countries have added restriction for Citizens of some countries which is based on mutual relationship and not based on religion. When Trump tries to scare everyone about radical Islam and promises ban on Muslim immigration, that is very different. It cannot be implemented. If we are afraid of the some terrorism caused by people claiming to be Muslim, there are so many issues to identify them that, it is like drawing a line on sands under sea waves. Its is not so simple. As far rigorous check for immigration, it is already being done; ask people who immigrate here. Trump cannot implement anything new that can bolster our security. He does not understand the complexity of foreign relationship and immigration. That is why he is making such statement and people are lapping it up!  [/quote]
