Then of course, I had problems booking the reservation because she is a minor, so I had to lie in their website and put date of birth as 1998. Then, I called United again to correct her info and finally was able to get through.

Now I am a little annoyed with myself because after all of this, I realized if I had booked a round trip (even though my daughter won't be returning to that country anytime soon) it would be about $300.00 cheaper than the one way ticket.

I have 24hrs grace period to cancel a reservation so I might just do this if I muster the energy!
