A quick look at the ACET program shows that they are recruiting for secondary science/math teachers as well as secondary Spanish/French teachers. By enrolling in the program you are committing to teaching in those areas.

You would have to get a MAT or a MED if you are not already a certified teacher.  This is the partnership info from the MCPS page. It does not appear that there are currently any partnerships for MAT (ESOL) at this time.

You could do a traditional Master's in education or teaching and then take the ESOL Praxis. But that won't guarantee an ESOL job, and it would be pretty big and expensive risk to take. [/quote]
