[/quote] The school *shouldn't* need more than a day to read something like recommendations, but that doesn't mean they won't argue they need more. More than once in DC we've provided outside evals/reports 1-2 weeks in advance and were told by the school they just simply couldn't possibly review it at the upcoming meeting. Early stages simply ignored what we provided them (some months in advance, some a few weeks) so it didn't much matter, timing wise. Just because they aren't supposed to do that doesn't mean they won't. Anyway, it'll be highly dependent on who is running the show for your kid. I'd push it back rather than expect to have a second chance to review it before school starts, though you could always wait to review it with the school at the 30 day review - but that didn't work for us, the school was even worse that Early Stages in that regard. But know that, depending on how obnoxious the person you are dealing with is, rescheduling may result in significant delay and may impact the availability of spaces for placement at particular locations if that's at all a concern. May it go more smoothly for you/may you have someone more reasonable than we did, in which case it may go much better for you.[/quote]
