Describing the spirits as if they were natural and comparing them to animals that will not get too close was brilliant on her part.  My mother was raised by two ancient women from a tiny town in Sicily,  they could read tea leaves and  had incredible intuition,  these women knew nothing about abnormal psychology and I am all the better for it.  Had my mother  not had that old country influence I too may have been hauled off to NIH for drug studies. 
 The ghosts are gone for me and all is well,  explain to your daughter that she may have a fabulous gift and a connection to other parts of the universe.  Also be sure to say that you have heard of this and anyone or thing that visits her means her absolutely no harm.
