OP, The DEFINITION of a radio call show is that anyone can join in the conversation and express his or her opinions, until the host shuts down the mike or hangs up the phone. The whole PURPOSE of a radio station is to make money. Debates and arguments on radio generate a lot of listeners and comments (like yours, for example) and if they are done well, add to the station's notoriety and prestige. Not that Kojo wants a Howard Stern reputation, but sometimes he does allow political disputes like this because he knows what he's doing. Try be a little more intelligent, OP.
Not to be pedantic but I'm not sure the mission of WAMU is to make money. Just sayin.'
Right. It's WAMU, a sedate NPR station. Not a place where you crash the soirée. If Brodbeck and Tribbett had wanted to call Gutshall a WAR CRIMINAL, it's THEIR RIGHT to do so. They're the pundits. If Gutshall wanted to respond, he could tweet or maybe purchase time on the local equivalent of Pravda or RT. But he is not to be calling the Kojo show without an invitation!!! That is just RUDE!!!
wtf? it is a call in radio show. you're weird.
