Missing an "empathy" chip.  Does not seem to try to understand other's situations or pain, even on an intellectual level.  "I just don't understand eating disorders."   But doesn't make any attempt to educate self.

But if a situation if explained point by point, and you spell out your needs in great detail, will be there for you on some level.

Definitely not a "sociopath."  Family man, great deal of responsibility.  Workaholic x 1000.

Looks at life in "shoulds"  - a daughter should act a certain way; this is not how an X person should act.

Any insights?  Maybe I am expecting too much?
