Supposedly putting tin foil on counters keeps cats off of them. Maybe put some tin foil around the outside of the bassinet and/or keep them both in a closed room (bassinet/stroller, not cat)?
A friend gave me this tip to keep our cats off the counter. Turned out to be a way to introduce the cats to their new favorite toy. Nothing with tin foil is safe around here. I gave up on keeping the cats out of the baby's stuff when baby wasn't in it. After a few weeks the novelty wore off and they stopped going in for the most part. Now they pretty much only go into the crib or on the changing pad if they want attention while I'm reading to DS.
