Way to set your kid up for failure!  I guess it's more important for you to brag to your coworkers that your kid goes to an immersion school than actually, you know, doing what's best for your child. Best of luck to your kid. They'll need it. [/quote]

Don't listen to this person.  I posted earlier about the 1st 6 weeks being hard.  We have been at MV from the beginning and I have seen a number of new kids enter each year.  In my estimation 1st grade is the last year that an English-dominant student can reliably enter the school without a lot of problems.  There is just so much content in 2nd grade so it's best for a kid to have a strong foundation in Spanish at that point.
