My son is in 5th grade AAP.  We got a letter last week stating that he will be given an additional math reasoning test before the end of the school year.  If he does well, they want him to take the IAAT this summer.  If he scores well on the IAAT, he can take Algebra I Honors at the middle school next year.  He puts in no effort to study and it is like pulling teeth to do homework.  It is hard to motivate him to do so when he gets 100s on tests.

He told me last night that he heard the test was hard and is worried.  For the first time, HE ASKED if there is anything he can do to prepare for it.  HE WANTS to study for and practice for it.  Does anyone have any tips, hints, study guides, etc. for him?  Also, does anyone know when they plan on having the test?
