Sorry if this has been asked recently.... I know MV opened up additional PK classes last year so let in a ton of new students. But that they may be going down to 4 classes next year? I read all this on a posting 6 months ago, so maybe there's more info by this time. 1. Does anyone know what MV is likely to do next year/number of PK classes - and if they're dropping to 4 classes, what's the logic behind that? Are they going to have a 1 year bottleneck? 2. And what does the answer to #1 do to the likely number of non-sibling spots available in the PK classes for this coming fall? We're looking at PK4, but I suspect PK3 people are also interested in the answer. Thanks!
Last year was unusual with the 6 PK classes. 4 will be the standard going forward. Because there are 6 PK classes now, each with around 7 PK3 students, that equates to 42 PK4 kids next year. Each PK class has around 14 PK4 kids, so 56 slots next year. Therefore you'd be looking at around 14 open PK4 slots. A few will probably be vacated by normal attrition (moving, etc), and a few will probably be filled by siblings of newly admitted students in the upper grades. So probably around 10-15 open slots for PK4.
