Once all the business left, the city grew around the school becoming a typical college town. The HPU's institution it's fantastic. Top notch facilities and a they work very hard to provide a students the best college experience! The school has virtually no diversity and caters to white christian students who come from an affluent back grounds. I agree with the PP, the academics are not there to make this school remotely competitive. NC State, Duke and UNC are an hour away and Wake Forest is 30 mins away... these would be way better choices. If coming out of state I would nix NC State (my alma mater) pay in state tuition at State college in MD or Va.[/quote]
