If you opt to file a claim with them, they will investigate and if there is any case against the DOT, they will pursue trying to get recompense. I highly doubt that there will be any recompense from the DOT, but insurance companies are masters at getting back money from any insurable damage if at all possible. Let them do the dirty work if there is any arguing to be done.[/quote]
