(As a backstory, several of grandother's children were under the impression grandmother was buried with the ring.  This is a very laid back family, and if the ring was actually passed on to this aunt, I think that (a) she would have said that and (b) no one would have cared if it had ended up on my cousin's finger.)

So....my parents were not there for Christmas this year.  Do I bring this up?  I think my mom has a right to know that cousin has the ring/diamond and that aunt wouldn't say how she came into the ring.[/quote]
