[b]Potty Training Workshop Details[/b] - 
Prepare to potty train with a broad workshop that covers techniques and common issues. During this workshop, Dr. Rene covers the pros and cons of a variety of approaches to potty training including the fast track method, the baby method, the potty practice method and potties without pressure.  The focus is on looking for signs of early and real readiness, identifying signs they're not ready and what to do once you're there.  This includes discussion on the role of praise and rewards, the language of ownership and contribution.  We will also tackle common issues including travel, pull-ups, bedwetting and constipation.

Tantrums, Whining and Backtalk Workshop Details[/b] - 
Join us and learn how to effectively manage tantrums.
In this workshop Dr. Rene will cover the basics of tantrums including why children tantrum, how to prevent tantrums and ways to manage once they start.
Since the main factor in reducing tantrums is to prevent them in the first place, Dr. Rene will explore in detail the various ways to prevent tantrums - including how to chart the behavior, the benefits of knowing triggers and cue behaviors and teaching about emotions and ways to calm.  The important aspects of parents' response during and after tantrums and the impact of intermittent reinforcement is covered in detail - helping parents understand how their behavior may either encourage to help reduce tantrums in the future. We will also cover ways to best lessen whining and backtalk.

1 Day Positive Discipline Workshop Details[/b] - 
In this one day workshop "bootcamp", you'll learn how to use techniques to instill positive, healthy behaviors. The Positive Discipline Workshop will help parents learn:
 
Various ways to approach discipline situations with your child
Methods to help your child express their emotions without "melting down"
Specific language to effectively solve discipline exchanges
The role of consequences in discipline situations
The importance of consistent response from parents
How to defuse potentially difficult situations such as tantrums and power struggles
 
Parents will learn about expected behaviors by age and a wide range of ways to solve common issues. Fewer battles, better listening, more peace! The Workshop is designed for parents of children 1 to 10 years old.[/quote]
