I have the academic credentials for the job, but my time in the industry is not as strong. It feels premature and it feels a bit presumptuous to think I stand a chance. Like, I haven't paid my dues.

So I am trying to build my confidence on this as much as possible.  I mean, if I really wasn't a possibility they would not have encouraged me to apply, right?  They could have easily left it at them rewriting the job and me no longer being a candidate.[/quote]
