" what is going on" is that a few years ago Issa and the Republican house along with the NRA and some R wing lawyers overturned the handgun ban in DC and the mandatory prison term of 5 years that used to accompany being found in possession of one within the borders of DC.

It has taken a few years , but now the gun trade is booming and with it, violent crime.

The US Atty along with every mayor in America opposed this law change and also supports the ban on assault weapons, so don't blame the cops. Thankless job if you asked me.[/quote]
