If money is an issue for them and they have the time, paying them is a great way to handle it.  Also, again, if money is an issue and your mother has enough to spend on an addition to their house it can be a great plan.  They are in situ day in and day out - you are not.  It can take its toll fast especially if money it tight.[/quote]
