Op - thanks for posting this. I'm the OP of the recent post asking about Aetna 2016 brochure. My situation is very similar to yours in that I'm going for #2. Had success at SGFC on the second IVF for #1. Not that thrilled with SGFC but if that is the only shop I can use so be it. We were MDIPA before and my son has a team of docs at Children's National that I do not want to give up. Also, this is small, but what's up with Kaiser only allowing you to stay in the hospital for 48 hours post delivery? And which hospital is that? I'm a GWU gal and would love to stick with them for delivery if we are fortunate to get pregnant with #2. That said - the uncertainty of that language in the new Aetna brochure has me fearful of touching Aetna with a 10 foot pole! Seriously. I can't take the risk of switching and then being told "read the fine/not so fine print dear". One thing that the OP just mentioned is the cost of insurance with Kaiser being lower. That is interesting. I'm going to explore what total costs would be to be doubly insured this next year and have my husband insure us under his job while I also get Kaiser federal insurance - either just for me or also for the whole family.
