I am thinking I should maybe just give up the idea of having those modern handles that take two holes. Currently half my cabinet oulls are the kind that only use one hole. It looks dated but I am now thinking that husband is right and we could ruin the cabinets. Cabinets are actually in good shape.
If you just need to add a hole, they sell some nice template tools that will help you drill the hole in the right location. If you're nervous about drilling, you can get a handyman to do it for you. A cabinet maker makes cabinets. You'll never get one to come out just to replace the handles. However, it sounds like some of your pulls use two holes so you need to make sure the new handles match those holes. http://www.lowes.com/pd_273756-81227-AN0200C-G-Q1_0__?productId=3473955&store_code=2244&cm_mmc=SCE_PLA-_-ToolsAndHardware-_-CabinetHardware-_-3473955:Liberty&CAWELAID=&kpid=3473955&CAWELAID=1023495675&k_clickID=449b30a6-8914-49f2-89eb-4edda9d31a60
