Alexandria property tax rates are low compared to the rest of NoVa.  The tax rate is the same on all kinds property, it is not higher on residential.  They do want more commercial development, but the regional office market is weak.   They have gotten some federal agencies to relocate from Arlington.

I am pretty sure the City has procedures for deciding on traffic calming, if that is what you want.  [/quote]
