If your DH has gotten this far in life without workplace accommodations, then don't waste you money on an expensive and unnecessary assessment.  I suggest you have him talk with a psychiatrist who can prescribe medication for him, and then monitor his progress to see if the meds are helping or if they need to be tweaked.

That's what I did.  I struggled all through school, hated it! It wasn't until my 12 yr old was diagnosed 6 years ago that I started seeing similarities and realize that I too likely had ADHD.  Then I started a new job, and the shit hit the fan. I found myself disorganized and behind the 8-ball all the time. Forgetful and easily distracted, and always fearing I was going to be fired! I mentioned it to DS' psychiatrist and she put me on Adderrall.  Literally changed my life.
