** The time commitment is essentially the same regardless of the team.

** Some of the other children on the Varsity team are ones with whom the child has been playing the sport for several years (on a club/travel team), so the child would know others. The child does not know anyone else on the JV team, but it might be a good opportunity to meet new people.
