That's because daycare waitlists are a scam. There were probably loads of people who paid good money to be on the list, but you were convenient because you called at the right time. Someone should sue to stop the injustice.[/quote]

In this case, I'm not so sure about that. I called a few days before the new school year was to start. It likely that the 2s class is full of kids who were on the waitlist since they start at age 2. At this time of the year, if there was an opening in the 2s room, it's likely that some people from the waitlist chose alternatives or moved.[/quote]
