eh, it is so not? I leave my kid alone in summer to do what she wants. She makes up stories, she draws pictures, sometimes we go for lunch.
Then your blessing is different. Please give thanks. For others, a kid can't be left alone- tried it once, resulted in fire in room. It's not a competition. Hope you... please recognize sometimes people need to vent. If your house is constantly filled with different therapists, and when they leave you go to various medical appointments, sometimes your only non-parent time (ypu know, when you get to feel like a person and not a caregiver) is the time you take to read these boards and share with others that SN is tough... it is really tough. There is no sugar coating it or dressing it up. There's no Disney film on this one. And when you get to read the boards and see that others think it is tough too you feel less alone, less weird and less of a failure. And then you can go another day with the strength to give it all you've got because with your child, you have no choice. It takes everything you have and you can't give up because it is not about you. But for a few minutes each night reading these boards, it is. So, if you don't understand what that feels like, please be courteous enough to read and comment on another thread. Because your choices seem infinite- but for tonight, this is the only place for comfort. BUT LET'S HEAR IT FOR A FRESH START TOMORROW. Signed, devoted but tired mom of Aspie with mood disorder and possible attachment issues
