We saw plenty of scenes of things like dead bodies in cars during season 1, with no evidence to head injury to destroy the brain. And didn't Rick find dead bodies outside the hospital in the first episode that hadn't reanimated? Those people died after the outbreak started, and if the virus spread as quickly on the east coast as it did in L.A>, why didn't they turn?[/quote]
