I haven't flown internationally on my own, making my own flights, well, ever. It's always been as part of a group who made the arrangements on my behalf. Considering tagging along with DH on a trip to London in the fall (mid-October). It seems like the flight is going to be the most expensive part of the trip. I'm seeing between $800-900 per person. Is that reasonable? Typical? I keep seeing these articles about how prices for flights are dropping, but I've been watching this route for a few weeks and haven't noticed any changes. I'm probably taking our toddler with us, too, so we'll have to buy two seats (he'll be 3).
London will never again be an inexpensive trip until they cut the ticket taxes. They add around $300 to each ticket.
