+1 If you stay at the Palace, you get access to all other resorts. If you're at the Colonial, you get access to all but the Place, and so it continues on down. The Colonial and Palace have the best pools. The Palace has the best a la cart dining (requires reservations). Not sure if you can go to those restaurants if you're not at the Palace. The rooms are big at the Palace and work well for a family (but not true suites w/a dividing wall). Haven't seen the rooms at the other resorts.

We were at the Palace in May. Perfectly safe. While there's always a risk of trouble, most of Mexico's problems are elsewhere.[/quote]
