Why not just call them and ask?
OP here, when I posted this question, I had tried calling them 3 times and giving up after being on hold for over 30 minutes each time, then I finally got through to them the 4th time I called after 40 minutes on hold, and was told the service company had not sent over the replacement report yet so they couldn't help me and to call back later. I was pleasantly surprised though that they are replacing my dryer with the newest version of the model, which is $1,300 retail, so I'm pleased. I believe my broken dryer was definitely over 10 years old. But, this whole process took well over a month, which was annoyting. They are really hard to get a hold of, they ALWAYS have a "high call volume", but at least I am happy with the replacement. I figured they would offer me a bottom of the line crappy dryer. I know my contract says they replace with a "similar" product, but I really didn't know what exactly that would mean.
