This is a great place to stop for ice cream/shaved ice. There is ample seating to enjoy your treats. There is plenty of parking. Little kids would be entertained by watching the go carts. It's nothing like the "big" boardwalk at the south end of the beach, but rather a quiet, clean, family environment. There is a mini golf place as well (Viking Golf). Just across the street is Golf Down Under. It's a larger facility and they play great music that parents enjoy!  This place has a partnership this summer with Barn Hill Preserve Educational Animal Programs. They have a few exotic animals that you can see/hold if you like. They have a baby kangaroo! The owner of the facility is always out and about visiting with guests. You can check out their Facebook page.  The Crabcake factory on 120th street has amazing lump crabcakes. The place isn't very large and it's very popular, so it's best to go early. We arrived around 5:00 one day this past week and didn't wait at all. However, when we left, all the tables were full and there were many people waiting.

For the kids, you may want to drive into Rehoboth Beach (about 30 minutes) to visit Funland on the boardwalk. They have a section of rides for just the little guys (little boats, firetrucks, etc. that go around in a little circle). This place is very family friendly, and doesn't have quite the sensory overload as the Ocean City boardwalk. Again, arrive early. Parking is not fun.

Just a heads-up...the Ocean City beaches were experiencing quite a bit of erosion this past week. Instead of a nice, level walk out to the water, there was a big drop-off/ledge. In some places it seemed as high as 4 feet. It made it quite difficult to reach the water. Going down was one thing, but getting back up, was a challenge to say the least. Perhaps it wasn't/and isn't everywhere, but this was our experience this past week around 100th street. You can see a photo on a Baltimore meteorologist's facebook page...Justin Berk. Check it out.
